【摘要】:1.1Thisfire-test-responsestandardcoversameansfordeterminingthelethaltoxicpotencyofsmokeproducedfromamaterialorproductignitedwhileexposedtoaradiantheatfluxof50kW/m2for15min.1.2Thistestmethodislimitedtotestspecimensnolargerthan76by127mm(3by5in.),withathicknessnogreaterthan51mm(2in.).Specimensareintendedtoberepresentativeoffinishedmaterialsorproducts,includingcompositeandcombinationsystems.Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletoend-usematerialsorproductsthatdonothaveplanar,ornearlyplanar,externalsurfaces.1.3Lethaltoxicpotencyvaluesassociatedwith30-minexposuresarepredictedusingcalculationsthatusecombustionatmosphereanalyticaldataforcarbonmonoxide,carbondioxide,oxygen(vitiation)and,ifpresent,hydrogencyanide,hydrogenchloride,andhydrogenbromide.Thecalculationmethodisthereforelimitedtothosematerialsandproductswhosesmoketoxicitycanbeattributedtothesetoxicants.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandardmeasuresanddescribestheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoheatundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardoffireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitations(particularlywithregardtothecareanduseofexperimentalanimals)priortouse.Forspecifichazardsstatements,seeSection7andNoteX1.1.
