【摘要】:Thistestmethodisnotintendedtosimulateanactualuseconditionbutitwillgivesomeindicationoftheelastomericpropertiesorflexibilityofabuildingjointsealantatlowtemperature.Itcanservetodifferentiatebetweenelastomer-basedsealantsandsealantsbasedonnonelasticbindersthatcanhardenorembrittleonagingandcrackorloseadhesionwhenflexedatlowtemperature.Inaddition,itcanaidinidentifyingsealantsthathavepoorflexibilitybecausetheyareoverextendedandcontainaverylowlevelofelastomericbinderaswellasthosesealantshavingbindersthatwillembrittleatlowtemperature.
